London’s Most Prestigious Store

One of Britain’s most celebrated luxury brands, Liberty has roots that date back to 1875. The company was founded by Arthur Lasenby Liberty, who borrowed £2,000 from his future father-in-law to rent premises in London’s Regent Street. With only three members of staff, the shop opened to the public.

From these humble beginnings, Liberty has risen to become one of the most instantly recognisable luxury brands in the UK. The company is renowned throughout the world for its high quality products, most notably fabrics featuring the famous Liberty print.

Art Nouveau Designs

In the later part of the 19th century, Arthur Lasenby Liberty developed strong friendships with some of the UK’s most notable designers. It is often credited for helping to develop the Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts movements. Liberty has collaborated with William Morris and Gabriel Dante Rossetti in the past, and still continues to work with artists and designers to this day.

To this day, you can still purchase beautiful Art Nouveau-inspired fabrics at Liberty, both in store and online.

Emphasis on Quality

There is a strong focus on quality at Liberty. Although the range has diversified significantly over the years, all products features in the store are of an exceptionally high quality; well made and created by some of the most celebrated designers of the 21st century. All items are selected for their unique appeal and timeless beauty.

Shopping at Liberty: The Experience

Exploring the company’s spectacular mock-Tudor store in London is always an unforgettable experience. However, it’s also a pleasure viewing Liberty’s wide range of stunning products online. In addition to the fabrics, Liberty stocks clothing for men, women and children, from a number of notable designers, such as Roland Mouret, Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood.

As well as clothing, you’ll find accessories, scarves, homeware, cosmetics, fragrances, candles and more.

As Oscar Wilde himself once said: ‘Liberty is the chosen resort of the artistic shopper.’ In the 21st century, this remains as true as ever. If you’d like to shop Liberty’s online store, just click here & BUY NOW.
